Across the United States, up to 700,000 children are living under the protective supervision of a state court because their parents (or caregivers) have abused, neglected or abandoned them. The lucky ones will only be “in the system” for a year or 18 months.

Being in the system is not a pleasant time. In addition to a court advocacy volunteer, these children need a friend, a playmate, a sympathetic ear. They need a dog. Canines 4 Kids, Inc. is all about putting abused, neglected and abandoned dogs into the service of children that have been abused, neglected and abandoned.
